On Saturday, February 9th, a group of 12 employees and family members from Capital Healthcare Services and Harmony Home Healthcare cooked breakfast for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh. Together we whipped up pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and more to spread a little love just in time for Valentine's Day!
The Ronald McDonald House Charities is an organization close to HR Manager, Juliana Naugle’s heart. “As a mother who spent almost a month in the hospital with my newborn, I have a special connection and understanding with the families staying at the RMH,” Juliana says. “I am deeply honored and humbled that the RMH provided me with this opportunity to provide families with what other families provided my family during a difficult time.”
Being able to spend a few hours to do a small act of kindness for families of children in need was a great bonding activity, and also an opportunity to show our company's passion for compassion! “It was extremely meaningful to have been able to volunteer,” says Employee Engagement Specialist, Aisha Kennedy. “There is no greater gift than the gift of giving.” We sincerely thank everyone who spent their Saturday morning volunteering with us, and we look forward to being able to do this again in the future!
