Harmony Home Care had a great time at Pennsylvania Home Care Association’s Direct Care Worker of the Year Luncheon in Harrisburg on March 27th! Client Services Manager, Tara Harmening, and Patient Care Coordinator, Denise Wright, accompanied Harmony’s nominees to the event, which honored nominees from across Pennsylvania, and offered interactive, educational activities for the attendees.
“It was a great way to recognize our Direct Care Workers and give them a chance to meet members of the Pennsylvania Home Care Association, access learning materials and opportunities, and have a nice luncheon and relaxing day with our Harmony staff and other Direct Care Workers in the state of Pennsylvania,” says Denise Wright.
Harmony’s nominees in attendance—Nicole Scherer, James Mayer, Frances Actille, Lisa Hako, and Anna Kita—were able to participate in an interactive dementia simulation, which Tara Harmening called “a very eye-opening experience.”
“Our nominated PCAs mentioned several times how nice it was to be recognized and that they were thankful that we provided transportation to the event,” says Tara. “The staff enjoyed getting a professional picture taken, the meal provided to them, and the overall experience.”
We are grateful to have had the privilege of attending this year’s event, and the opportunity to honor our exceptional caregivers! We look forward to next year’s event!
